11th Grader right? I read your blog (You shouldn't have ditched me like that, so I had a little EXTRA time to look around), and your blog mentioned something about you thinking Americans are assholes! You are absolutely right!!!
The reason for our part in the Pacific (During WWII) is because we took over Hawaii so we can sentry that part of the world. We forced Japan to give us resources via police force, Navy in better terms. When Japan said they would disagree we cut them off, COMPLETELY! We disallowed them from exporting their goods to anyone else. That made Japan mad so they bombed us, we nuked them, they tried to fight back, but we suppressed their fire and made them get rid of their emperor, as well as give us "What they owed us"... We are nothing but Capitalist pigs! I have more truth about us if you want to hear it... In our history books Canada doesn't exist regarding WWII.
Haha yea.. I mean most america dosn't think WW2 started until AFTER Pearl Harbor.... Um like, wait a minute.... What about Europe? Half of Europe was alredy under Hilters control then, and Britian, Canada and France where kinda getting our asses kicked.... (France esspecialy! haha they got booted out of their country )
But, I guess thats just American ingorance... You guys probably still think us canadians live in igloos, though in the area I live in that can't be farther from the truth. (I live in a semi-desert valley, btw)

Durring WWII era we had control/owned of Alaska, Hawaii, Midway, Guam, and Philippines. We HAD the power to oppress Japan!
We didn't care about Europe because we were under a non-aggression act, so we didn't come in until late 1930's...
We lost Cuba to Communism in 1954, that's right! We also had Cuba under our control! But the cold war was nothing to us, or so it says in our books... Just fighting Communism, and the Space Race...
Actually, we stereotype you guys as non-aggressive, have low sportsmanship, and everyone over there speaks a little french...
Ah and: 1) were sometimes aggressive though not reallly on a global scale.. 2) Low sportsmanship? at least most of us play by the rules 3) I don't speak any french at all... I know maybe like 4 people that know more than "hello" and "thank you". Esspecialy this side of canada... its all about the German/Korean/Chinese & spanish here in British Columbia...
1) Aggression is everywhere, bad stereotype, I wouldn't believe it.
2) My point exactly. See people tend to lie about each other. I'm thinking someone can't admit Canada saved the US's ass so that is why Canada won't be in the American history book.
2) Worse stereotype, works the same as all Eastern Asians as bad drivers, sure it's there but doesn't apply to all...

We were never enemies with the Russians because we ACTUALLY supplied them with goods. Think about it, why would you give your enemy resources? Not enemies is why...
We controlled Cube, we lost Cuba to Marxism, we pissed off Cuba, Cuba threatened to shoot missiles to our capital, we surrendered, we trained men to fight Gorilla Style (hit-'n'-run), and fought an internal warfare with Cuba. Cuba surrendered but never agreed to rejoin us...

Soviets take control of eastern european countries as "puppet Governments" and the west starts to fear communism. Countries that start getting invaded by the USSR call on britian, canada and the U.s (Mostly the U.S) to help them fight the Communists (Like in Korea and Vietnam). This fight went back and forth, along with a huge arms race/space race... and finaly ended when the USSR ran out of money...
About the whole cuban thing, this is basicaly what we learn:
Cuba becomes communist. USSR is like "Oh you communist now? Here are some missiles.." U.S Spy planes take photo's of missiles and get scared of an attack. So they blockade any Soviet ships from getting at cuba. Then they make a deal because USSR gave up. U.S promises to not invade cuba, if USSR takes back missiles. We call it "A game of Nuclear Chicken" here.
